The New Ipswich Libary sponsored a visit from Jessica and Zachary Decoteau and a few of their reptilian friends.
They brought four animals, two lizards and two snakes. My favorite was this handsome guy, a Uromastyx lizard.
Uromastyx
This lizard lives in arid areas, doesn’t drink water and has a spiny tail it uses to protect itself.
Bearded Dragon
This type of lizard has had many starring roles in the science fiction movies of my youth. A docile friendly creature who was painted and filmed to look like a dinosaur in those films. Meet “Ralphie” the Dragon.
Ball Python
Called a ball python because it likes to curl up into a ball. A very boring snake.
Ophidiophobia
Many people have a fear of snakes. This program gave them an opportunity to overcome that.
