The theme of the day for January 21, 2025 is #Tired. I was suprised at the Orlando Airport when I saw this man sleeping with his travel bag in a plexiglass box. It was an art installment called “The Traveler”. Travel is definitely tiring.
On this day - January 20th
A Pileated Woodpecker would always visit the same pine tree, drilling huge rectangular holes in the trunk. The bird knew what I didn’t, that the tree was infested with ants. Eventually half the tree fell over and damage part of the garage. If it fell a bit to the south it would have come through the room where I was working.
About 2 years later half the tree broke off
